Look, we get it - everyone has enough on their plate to worry about these days, and finding the time and money to help others can seem like a never-ending balancing act. The truth is, that's exactly what it is - never-ending.
In our own lives, we’ve been the person who has helped others, as well as the person who needed help at times. We also know that actions matter, and our goal is to start giving even more back, right here and right now. We are pledging 10% of every dollar earned, and our goal is to increase those contributions by an additional 5% or more every year, until we reach our target of $250,000.
The truth is, that's exactly why it's so important, because empathy should also be never-ending.
Last year, we completed the “Sherry's Not-so-Secret-Santa Fundraiser” and just wanted to thank everyone who so graciously contributed. We've personally known this family since grade school and watching their joy of home ownership turn into such an excruciating labor of love over the past several months is what motivated us to help raise some funds to get their dream of home ownership back on track over the holidays. We were able to raise $2,836 for this amazing family, which just goes to show that a dollar CAN make a difference, that a community built on kindness CAN change the world and that sometimes the universe IS actually listening. Thank you to the Leone family for allowing us to join you on this journey and we hope this helps you to move forward in your new home!
We will showcase a different organization every three months and ask that you donate ONE DOLLAR to each cause throughout the year (that's only $4 per year!).
As of October 1, 2023, we have contributed $5,498 towards our total goal of $250,000. The next donation will occur the week of April 1, 2023.
Our next fundraiser will be announced in January 2024!
